The Importance to Use Lace Wig with Good Care

With proper care and maintenance one of quality lace wig can last for 6 months up to a year or more but this depends on frequency of use. If you are wearing the lace wig everyday, then general wear and tear will reduce the life span of the lace wig unless you buy more than one unit. The cost of the unit works out to be cheaper than a weave as you can re-use the wig. Clients with severe hair loss such as Alopecia who wear the same unit everyday have an average life span of 3-4 months for a lace wigbefore it may require repair or complete replacement. The life span of the lace wig will ultimately fall with the owner and their care and maintenance regime.

You can sleep in the wig but we would advice you wear a silk scarf to wrap your head, just as you would your own hair to retain the style.

This wig is made and manufactured in Asia where temperatures can rise above 45 centigrade, 100 Fahrenheit! Our clients are all over the world in many extreme temperatures. With the right application your lace wig will not be affected by the temperature and will remain in place. Lace wig are lighter than standard wigs and therefore not as hot as most people would imagine.

The Right Way to Shampoo Lace Front Wig

Avoid very warm or hot water. Wet the hair of Lace Front Wig, apply shampoo and create the beginnings of lather without vigorously lathering. Run a little more water over the hair to move the lather through your lace front wig to the oily scalp below and allow the lather to remain there for a while before rinsing.

Pat or blot dry very gently with a towel. Do not rub your hair with the towel. Do not comb wet hair.

Tip: detergents such as shampoo don’t clean, only the lather from detergents can clean. Lather!

Don’t go nuts with shampoos and conditioners. Wash the lace front wig in cool plain water whenever you can. Conditioner can loosen the knots and cause shedding which reduces the life of the lace front wig. It’s the best to use a tiny amount of mild shampoo and then put back the shine with a spot of hair serum or a leave-in conditioner If the pH value is listed on the label, buy shampoo that is in the range of 4.5 to 5.5 pH. Ideally cream conditioner should not contain any of the following: Lanolin, polymers or heavy oils. These substances cause matting in human hair of lace front wig. Keep the cream conditioner off the knots if possible as it can eventually accelerate hair loss. Leave in conditioner is generally a good idea. Not conditioning at all will cause the hair to dry out and become tangled, as lace front wig hair does not receive essential scalp oil like your growing hair.

In China, there were also many methods used to dye hair. The Eastern Jin Dynasty medical scientist Ge Hong wrote that artemisia  stelleriana could dye the hair black, which was recorded as a secret in the Palace. In the “Compendium of Materia Medica” written by Li Shizhen in the Ming Dynasty, there were more than twenty kinds of drugs that could be used to dye hair.

We can see that the ancients were also fashionable in dyeing hair, even without advanced technology. They achieved it through natural means but the pro-blem of color fading still remains today.
